Tony Meehan has been involved in theatre for longer than he can actually remember. His first role was at age 7 playing Little Jake in Annie Get Your Gun and he hasn’t been far from the stage ever since, performing during childhood as Young Patrick Dennis in Mame and Wilfred Crompton in Spring and Port Wine.
He progressed to performing as an adult starting with Tony in West Side Story. After a spell at University (where he discovered a love for Dungeons and Dragons,) he returned to play Freddy Eynsford-Hill in My Fair Lady.
Other highlights throughout the years have included performances in Gilbert and Sullivan Comic Operas such as Shadbolt in The Yeomen of the Guard, Alexis in The Sorcerer and The Defendant in Trial by Jury. Other performances in light opera and peretta have included Kolomán Zsupán in Countess Maritza, Alfred in Die Fledermaus, Valentine Sutton in The White Horse Inn and Jeremiah in a touring production of The Quaker Girl. He is excited to be returning to performing after the total shutdown that was The Pandemic.
You can find him as @XyrianZ on Twitter and Twitch where he regularly streams.
