Matthew Schomer

For more than two decades, Matthew has been entertaining theatre audiences across Ohio and Pennsylvania’s Mahoning Valley with his animated antics and gritty vocal stylings. Favorite roles across the years include Dr. Frank N Furter in “The Rocky Horror Show”, Drew Boley in “Rock of Ages”, Jean Valjean in “Les Miserables”, and Ash in “Evil Dead: The Musical”. He produced and played Gabriel Goodman in a 2011 production of “next to normal”, which took home that year’s Youngstown Area Community Theater Alliance Award for Best Musical. Matthew has been on the cast of Dragonhold LARP for the past three years, portraying a variety of NPCs. He is also one half of Klepto Klub, a pair of bumbling thieves, appearing at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire and the Dragonhold Fantasy Festival in both stage shows and street performances. He has also quite recently made the leap to voice acting, recording two characters for a fantasy audio novel demo. A relative newcomer to the world of Arlyrus, Matthew would like to thank the community for being so welcoming and supportive.
